Standing still

My needlework has come to a stand still. WAAAAAAH!!!!! I am utterly consumed with school these days/ I'm teaching classes 5 days a week in my home district, and taking one graduate class and additional classes for alternative certification to become a certified teacher. Whew! I've decided I'm going to take next Monday off (MLK day) and just do needlework all day and evening. Maybe I can sneak some time in this week also.

Frustration galore

I made it to line 47 of the MonthlyDishcloths January 2009 KAL when I realized I had dropped a stitch on Line 45. I frogged back to 45 and started knitting again. I don't know what happened but I did the same mistake again. I'm sooo frustrated with this KAL I simply put the darn thing aside until I can cool off and start again.

In the meantime, I've been downloading lots of patterns from the internet to knit so when I do pick my needles back up, I'll have plenty of work to do!

Time on my hands

I've spent a lot of time downloading knitted dishcloth patterns this past week. I've been a member of the Yahoo group MonthlyDishcloths for some time now -- just haven't really done anything with it. I'm proud to announce I've actually completed through Day 4 of the January 2009 KAL! Of course, this is after I frogged the darn thing 5 times today. I either was misreading the pattern or got confused and miscounted or something. Anyway, it looks very nice and I'm pleased with what I have done so far. I can't reveal what the pattern is but it's done in pale blue and is January-appropriate -- at least for some places in the world! LOL!

Happy New Year 2009!

Well, I made it through 2008. I managed to pull out another "A" in my grad classes and only have 2 more classes until graduation! Unfortunately, this has meant less time for needlework the internet and even less for photographing projects. Hopefully in the next few days (before school starts up again) I'll be able to post more pictures.
